  28. DRIV_MAN ˇis ˇa ˇdisk ˇutility management tool ˇthat ˇdisplays ˇpertinent 
  29. logical ˇdisk ˇdrive data - up to twenty-six drives - on a SINGLE ˇSCREEN 
  30. for analysis/storage.

  32. The DRIV_MAN display includes: DRIVE DATA SUMMARY with capacity, used and 
  33. free ˇfor ˇeach available/selected drive, ˇDRIVE DATA GRAPH with the same 
  34. data for each drive, ˇTOTAL DISK SUMMARY and GRAPH, ˇand INDIVIDUAL DRIVE 
  35. DATA displaying information on one drive at a time.

  37. Program options include: Toggle any of six sort orders for the DRIVE DATA 
  38. SUMMARY, ˇselectable/editable ˇdisplay ˇDRIVE RANGE, ˇdisk storage of the 
  39. DISK DRIVE SUMMARY display, ˇand the ability to run a file manager, FILE-
  40. MAN, from within the program.

  42. Registered users may also change the various display colors, the location 
  43. of the display sections, and various setup parameters.

  208. EXTENDED ˇDRIVE INFORMATION window is displayed for each drive ˇin ˇturn. 
  209. The ˇˇdisplayed ˇˇinformation ˇincludes ˇthe ˇdrive's ˇˇsector's/cluster, 
  210. available clusters, ˇbytes/sector, ˇclusters/drive, ˇcapacity, ˇand ˇfree 
  211. space. ˇFor drives on this system, the drive's sectors/drive and capacity 
  212. including ˇbad ˇsectors is also given. ˇThis data, ˇfor ˇnon ˇhard/floppy 
  213. drives and network drives, is not available.

  215. ƒ>˙To cancel the EXTENDED DRIVE INFORMATION display, press [ESCAPE].

  217. 4[F2] EDIT DISK DRIVE RANGE 
  218. The ˇselected ˇdisk ˇDRIVE ˇRANGE may be changed and re-displayed without 
  219. exiting ˇand ˇre-running ˇDRIV_MAN. ˇˇEspecially ˇuseful ˇin ˇa ˇˇnetwork 
  220. environment, the range can be set for the physical drives of each system. 
  221.  
  222. ->˙To ˇchange ˇthe ˇselected/displayed ˇDRIVE RANGE, ˇˇpress ˇ[F2]. ˇˇThe 
  223. currently selected DRIVE RANGE is displayed. ˇEdit the DRIVE RANGE, using 
  224. the control keys noted on the bottom line, ˇas it would have been entered 
  225. on the command line. ˇWhen editing is complete, ˇpress [Ÿ].

  227. ƒ>˙To leave the DRIVE RANGE as it was before editing, press [ESCAPE].

  229. 5[F3] STORE DATA
  230. The DRIV_MAN screen display, ˇof ˇthe Disk Summary Data, may ˇbe saved to 
  231. allow comparisons with previous or future displays. 
  232.  
  233. Using this feature, ˇa snapshot may be saved before cleaning up a logical 
  234. drive/drives ˇand then another ˇsnapshot saved afterward, for comparison. 
  235. Another ˇuse ˇis ˇto take Disk Summary snapshots monthly to see ˇhow ˇthe 
  236. system's disk status is changing over time. 
  237.  
  238. ->˙To ˇstore the screen display, ˇpress [F3]. ˇThe screen display will be 
  239. stored ˇin ˇa ˇfile ˇnamed "DRIVE_MAN.DAT", ˇˇand ˇa ˇcompletion ˇmessage 
  240. displayed. ˇIf this file already exists, ˇon the drive-directory on which 
  241. the program is located, ˇthe current data will be APPENDED to it. ˇIf the 
  242. file ˇdoes not exist, ˇit will be CREATED on the same drive-directory ˇas 
  243. the program.

  245. 6[F4] SHELLING TO A FILE MANAGER
  246. FILE_MAN, ˇˇanother shareware program from MicroMetric, ˇis a menu driven 
  247. file manager utility. ˇIt, ˇor another file manager, ˇmay be run directly 
  248. from ˇDRIV_MAN ˇto ˇcopy, ˇˇmove, ˇdelete files ˇor ˇperform ˇother ˇfile 
  249. maintenance functions.

  257. 7CONFIGURATION FILE
  258. The ˇoptional ˇDRIV_MAN ˇconfiguration ˇfile contains all of the ˇdisplay 
  259. color and position variables. ˇˇThese ˇvariables are initially set to the 
  260. program ˇdefaults. ˇˇThey may be edited by use of any ˇASCII ˇeditor/word 
  261. processor.
